High Quality Construction
The standard MAXIM Evaporator recovers waste heat utilizing circulating flash technology. The standard evaporator shell, sea water heater and distillate condenser bundles and all other surfaces in contact with sea water are constructed of 90-10 copper nickel for maximum corrosion resistance.
Other parts of the unit, in contact with sea water, are constructed from non-ferrous alloy materials approved for marine service. Standard equipment furnished with these evaporators includes the sea water heater bundle, distillate pump, pressure and vacuum gauges, thermometers and salinity monitoring equipment. For processing water containing highly corrosive or acidic fluids, Maxim incorporates components made of materials most resistant to corrosion such as titanium or stainless steel.
